Firearms Safety and Shooting-Sports Training in Guam

Build confidence. Train with purpose.

Citizen Defenders is a Guam-based firearms-safety and shooting-sports training program serving adults, families, range officials, and developing athletes. Training includes basic handgun safety, concealed-carry concepts, NRA Range Safety Officer education, IPSC and Action Air development, and planned Olympic air-rifle, air-pistol, trap, and skeet pathways. Programs are educational, appointment-based, and focused on safety, judgment, and responsible participation.

Training is available by appointment.

A responsibility-first approach

Good judgment begins before a firearm is ever used.

Citizen Defenders helps students develop safe habits, practical skills, situational awareness, and respect for the responsibilities that accompany firearm ownership and shooting-sports participation.

Our instruction extends beyond marksmanship. We emphasize avoidance, responsible decision-making, safe handling, lawful conduct, disciplined practice, and continued development.

Our teaching philosophy

Safety is a continuing practice.

Responsible instructors also remain students. Deborah and Phil continue their professional development so their teaching methods, technical knowledge, officiating skills, and safety practices remain current.

Meet students where they are.Respect different experience levels and build skills progressively.
Make avoidance part of the plan.Awareness and sound judgment come before confrontation.
Support families and young athletes.Encourage active parental involvement and a safety-centered sporting culture.
Keep learning.Maintain credentials, officiate, coach, study, and improve the way instruction is delivered.
